Supervising Patrol Critical IncidentsSupervising Patrol Critical Incidents
This course gave me tools that I can immediately use to make decisions and high-priority calls. I understand the priorities and immediate action I need to take to lead my team to success.
This was hands-down one of the best classes I have attended on leadership and dealing with crisis calls.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
This course was amazing and gets you thinking of stepping back and looking at the big picture, and not being wrapped up in the moment. The instructor was amazing, one of the best I have learned from in my 17 years in law enforcement.
I would take this course 10 times over!
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
Everything taught and discussed was very relevant to a patrol supervisor’s role in critical incidents. Thank you for advancing my knowledge base. I know this seminar will make me a better, stronger, and definitely a more prepared supervisor.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
I thought the scenarios and discussions were great. It was very beneficial to discuss thoroughly the proper responses to situations and what can be learned from the incidents discussed. The instructor was well spoken and articulate, and the presentation from his experiences was very beneficial.

Thank you for presenting such a great class! The information was presented in the perfect way for fellow officers/supervisors.The information provided was also very engaging and thought provoking. Your attitude towards the material, your officers, and the job is inspiring. Sometimes we allow “the job” to take us off our path of making a difference and providing a safer/better job for our officers. Shame on me. It takes vigilant leaders such as you to nudge us back to where we used to be and ignite the fire once again. I applaud you for it.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
I’ve been to a number of leadership courses during by 22-year career but this course beats them all! It cuts out the BS and gives supervisors the information they need for the streets. I’ve recommended to my chain of command that this be a mandatory course of instruction for all supervisors.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
The instructor was outstanding! One of the best I’ve seen in 23 years as an LEO.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
The entire course was great. I would encourage all first line supervisors or officers who wish to become supervisors to attend this course. This was one of the best courses I have attended as a law enforcement officer. The instructor was great. You couldn’t have picked a better instructor for the course.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
This course provided more insight into the supervisor/leadership role during a critical incident. It provided examples of what not to do as a supervisor and it gave real life examples of the course material. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable in the content/topic of the course. The entire course was exceptionally useful!
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
Excellent course, instructed by a qualified person who was able to get students to look outside of the box when responding to various incidents and formulate plans for handling multiple outcomes.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
This class was a good reminder of some basic information/some new ideas/fresh way of looking at age old police issues with the new era of societal restraints. The instructor was knowledgeable, consistent, energized, passionate and approachable. Provided relevant information without it being “story time.” I gained a lot of insight, new reading material ideas and re-energized passion about safety, leadership and caring for personnel.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
I recently attended NTOA’s two-day Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents class instructed by Sgt. Fred Farris. The class was very beneficial and in all honesty one of the best training I have been to. I have let others know that when this class and instructor come around again next year, they need to go!
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
Thank you to both instructors! This was a fantastic training course and one of the best I have attended in years. Both instructors were passionate about the training, they made it fun while learning, and the tactics related to supervising critical incidents were spot on. Highly recommend this training for all supervisors.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
The instructor, Josh Patterson, did a great job! He was engaging and personable. The course was structured well, building upon itself from day one through day two. The course did provide great reinforcement and made me Monday morning quarterback some of the ways both my sheriff’s office and myself have handled situations in the past. The scenarios were well thought out as well. Probably most important, this training forced critical thinking for newer supervisors who may not have been in a patrol leadership position in the past.
All around an excellent course and an excellent instructor. I strongly recommend this training for all new supervisors, especially those who are new to night shifts where they will be the one taking the lead!
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
Great course, keep them coming! Should be mandatory for all patrol supervisors.
Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents
I just wanted to say again how much I enjoyed attending the Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents class in Sarasota, Florida.
The instructor, Travis Norton, did a great job with the topic and it was the best LEO class I have taken in 12 years!
