The National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA), the nation’s leading provider of training and resources for law enforcement, is proud to announce that its comprehensive suite of training courses has been officially approved by the Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Council for POST credit eligibility through 2030.
This five-year approval ensures that Idaho law enforcement officers attending NTOA courses will continue to receive full POST training credit hours toward certification requirements, including advanced and specialized tactical training. The approval covers a wide range of NTOA programs, including Basic SWAT, SWAT Team Leader Development, Crisis Negotiations, Supervising Patrol Critical Incidents, Tactical Breaching, and many other critical incident response courses.
“NTOA has long partnered with agencies across Idaho to deliver high-quality, reality-based training that enhances officer safety and operational effectiveness,” said NTOA Executive Director Thor Eells. “This renewed five-year approval from Idaho POST reaffirms our commitment to meeting the highest standards in law enforcement education and allows Idaho officers seamless access to our proven curriculum.”
Idaho POST approval means that NTOA-trained officers can apply course hours directly toward maintaining certifications, intermediate/advanced levels, and in-service requirements. The Association’s courses are designed by experienced professionals and incorporate the latest lessons learned from real-world operations.
