The NTOA is now accepting nominations to honor worthy law enforcement officers or organizations with several prestigious awards:
- John Kolman Award of Excellence
- NTOA Award of Valor
- Negotiations Award
- NTOA TEMS Award
- NTOA Unit Citation for Valor
- Spirit of NTOA Award
- K9 SWAT Deployment Award
The awards are for incidents occurring between June 1, 2025 and June 1, 2026. Nominations for each award submitted to NTOA must be for active members of NTOA (with the exception of the Spirit of NTOA award).
The deadline for submitting nominations is June 30, 2026. The deadline for the Negotiations Award is Sept. 1, 2026.
Recipients are gifted with a plaque and their name and agency are published in The Tactical Edge. Awards will be presented at our annual conferenced.
