  Booby Trap and Explosives Recognition (1 day)
 

Improvised explosive devices and booby traps are among a terrorist’s most dangerous tools. This course will familiarize first responding police and SWAT officers to situations involving improvised explosive devices and booby traps. Topics to be covered include responsibilities when dealing with violent offenders who may use explosives and booby traps as defense mechanisms. Participants will gain insight into what is needed to bring an explosive and booby trap situation to a safe and successful conclusion in this classroom course.

 
  Explosives & Improvised Terrorist Weapons (2 days)
 

This two-day seminar will explore several major domestic and international terrorist incidents involving the use of improvised explosive devices. It will also show that worldwide terrorist groups are exchanging technology and tactics by examining and comparing various improvised devices used by terrorist organizations.

 
  Mechanical and Shotgun Breaching (2 days)
 

This course is designed to expose tactical team members to various breaching tools and techniques and the considerations that should be exercised during the deployment of personnel.

 
  Shotgun Breaching (1 day)
 

This course is designed for those personnel who have the responsibility to perform shotgun breaching, using frangible/disintegrating projectiles, in support of police tactical operations. Classroom instruction and live fire practical application of learned skills will be conducted.
